Tiago Paraíso was born in 1983 in Leiria.  He started his music studies when he was 8 years old at the Sociedade Artistica e Musical dos Pousos, Leiria. When he was 17 years old he started studding bassoon at the Escola Profissional da Beira Interior in Covilhã.
He attended master classes with Rui Lopes, Hugues Kesteman, Pierre Olivier Martens and Afonso Venturieri. He took part in the European Union Youth Wind Orchestra.
He has been invited, for several occasions, to play with Orquestra Sinfónica do São Carlos, Orquestra Sinfonietta de Lisboa and he plays in the Orquestra de Câmara Cascais Oeiras.

He is a member of Quinteto Diaphonia since 2007.
